Ala. Man Gets 25 Years For Securities Fraud

Law360, New York (March 22, 2011, 5:49 PM EDT) -- An Alabama judge on Monday sentenced Wealth Builders International Inc. founder and convicted Ponzi schemer Terry Harris to 25 years in prison for violating state securities law.

Judge Laura Petro of the Jefferson County Circuit Court also ordered Harris to pay more than $1.6 million in restitution, according to the Alabama Securities Commission. 

Monday's sentencing came after a Jefferson County jury found Harris guilty on Feb. 4 of eight counts of violating the Alabama Securities Act.
