L-3 Wins Revival Of $15M IP Suit Against Ex-Workers

Law360, New York (March 22, 2011, 6:25 PM EDT) -- A Virginia federal judge on Tuesday vacated the dismissal of engineering firm L-3 Services Inc.'s $15 million patent infringement suit against two former workers who allegedly breached their employment contracts, ruling that the parties had not reached a compromise.

Judge Robert G. Doumar made the determination in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia after a Feb. 17 emergency motion filed by Reston, Va.-based L-3 and its Binary Ionization Inc. unit, also a plaintiff, that claimed there had been no deal.
