Medtronic Unit Must Face Antitrust Claims: Judge

Law360, New York (March 25, 2011, 10:17 PM EDT) -- A Japanese subsidiary of Medtronic Inc. lost its bid Thursday to overturn a decision refusing to dismiss it from an antitrust suit accusing the medical technology company of trying to push Lenox MacLaren Surgical Corp. out of the surgical bone mill device market.

Judge Richard P. Matsch in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado rejected Medtronic Sofamor Danek's request to certify his February order denying the company's motion to dismiss the case, finding that Lenox had sufficiently alleged that the court had jurisdiction...
