Court Denies Judgment In OfficeMax Employee Suit

Law360, New York (March 25, 2011, 5:50 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Maine on Thursday denied summary judgment and numerous other motions by both sides in OfficeMax Inc.'s suit alleging three former employees broke a noncompetition agreement when they moved to a rival office supplier.

Judge John Woodcock Jr. made some limited rulings in a 97-page order entered in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine, including dismissing counterclaims of fraud and breach of contract against OfficeMax relating to alleged nonpayment of bonuses, but mostly kept the case intact.
