WTO To Hear US Claims Over China Steel Duties

Law360, New York (March 25, 2011, 4:36 PM EDT) -- The World Trade Organization agreed Friday to hear U.S. complaints over Chinese anti-dumping duties on electrical steel products and limits on which companies can process credit card payments in the country.

After China blocked the U.S. government's first bid to establish WTO panels to hear the cases in late February, the group's dispute settlement body set up panels Friday to weigh in on the trade spats on a second request from American trade officials, U.S. Trade Representative spokeswoman Nefeterius McPherson confirmed.
