Amazon Ties Up $500M Deal After FTC OK

Law360 (March 25, 2011, 2:58 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission on Wednesday signed off on Inc.'s $500 million purchase of Quidsi Inc., the parent company for and, closing an investigation into whether the deal would violate antitrust laws.

“Upon further review of this matter, it now appears that no further action is warranted by the commission at this time,” FTC Secretary Donald Clark wrote in letters to the companies' attorneys.
