Kimberly-Clark, SCA Lose Bid To Revive Paper Duties

Law360, New York (March 28, 2011, 5:59 PM EDT) -- An Australian court on Thursday rejected efforts to reinstate anti-dumping duties on toilet paper imported from China and Indonesia despite pleas from local units of Kimberly-Clark Corp. and SCA Hygiene Products AG.

Justice Richard Francis Edmonds of the Federal Court of Australia ruled that the country's customs officials did not misinterpret the term "material injury" in their evaluation of the Australian toilet paper industry.
