OfficeMax Coverage Suit Must Move To Canada: Insurer

Law360, New York (March 25, 2011, 7:30 PM EDT) -- GCAN Insurance Co. asked a Minnesota federal court Friday to toss OfficeMax Inc.'s suit seeking coverage for its defense in a personal injury case, claiming the insurance dispute belongs in Quebec.

The insurer filed a motion to dismiss OfficeMax's declaratory judgment suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, maintaining that the case belonged in Canada, where the insurer has filed its own suit.
