High Court Won't Hear $12M Electronic Banking Fight

Law360 (March 28, 2011, 2:19 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court denied certiorari to Emigrant Savings Bank on Monday, ending the bank’s fight over a $12 million award for Metavante Corp. in a contract dispute over the companies’ launch of an electronic banking system.

Refusing to hear Emigrant’s case, the high court left in place the appeals court’s September decision affirming a $2 million judgment for Metavante as well as the award of $10 million in fees and costs incurred in years of litigation over the development of Emigrant’s online banking platform....
