Wis. Court Denies AG's Bid To Pull Labor Law Appeal

Law360, New York (March 29, 2011, 6:10 PM EDT) -- A Wisconsin appeals court on Tuesday denied state Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen's attempt to withdraw his challenge to an injunction blocking implementation of collective bargaining legislation, saying that the issue is in the hands of the state's high court.

Van Hollen, a Republican, announced Monday that the collective bargaining law is in effect, making his fight against the injunction moot. He said that the measure was in force Friday when a state agency published the bill's text in spite of the court order.
