BP Bosses May Face Manslaughter Charges Over Blast

Law360 (March 29, 2011, 2:24 PM EDT) -- Federal prosecutors are reportedly deciding whether to charge BP PLC managers with manslaughter in connection with the explosion at the Deepwater Horizon oil rig that killed 11 workers last year.

Bloomberg reported the news Tuesday. Any criminal case would complement civil allegations that have already been filed against BP by the U.S. Department of Justice. BP and other companies are also facing civil claims from businesses and residents near the spill.
