J&J Recalls Tylenol Products Amid Odor Concerns

Law360, New York (March 29, 2011, 7:36 PM EDT) -- A Johnson & Johnson unit recalled one lot of Tylenol extended release caplets Tuesday after complaints of a musty odor and expanded another recall of over-the-counter drugs produced at a Pennsylvania plant that is no longer manufacturing drugs.

McNeil Consumer Healthcare, part of J&J's McNeil-PPC Inc., voluntarily recalled one lot of Tylenol eight-hour extended-release caplets in 150-count bottles as part of the company's ongoing efforts to monitor products for musty or moldy odors that are thought to be caused by the chemicals 2,4,6-tribromoanisole and 2,4,6-trichloroanisole....
