DuPont Again Extends $6.3B Offer For Danisco

Law360, New York (March 30, 2011, 12:49 PM EDT) -- DuPont Co. said Wednesday it was extending for a second time the tender offer period in its $6.3 billion bid to acquire Danisco AS, giving shareholders of the Denmark-based food ingredient company until April 29 to take the deal.

As of March 29, Danisco investors had offered up 6 percent of the company's shares to the science giant, a figure DuPont said was consistent with similar deals. The extension provides additional time to secure approvals from competition authorities in the European Union and China, DuPont said....
