NRC To Review Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage

Law360, New York (March 30, 2011, 3:45 PM EDT) -- The chairman of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission reassured lawmakers Wednesday that the storage of spent nuclear fuel would be part of his agency's review on U.S. reactor safety in light of the emergency in Japan.

NRC Chairman Gregory B. Jaczko was among those who testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations' subcommittee on energy and water development during a hearing on nuclear safety, which several times returned to the issue of spent fuel management.
