Frank Seeks More Support To Reintroduce ENDA

Law360, New York (March 30, 2011, 7:49 PM EDT) -- Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., wants to round up more co-sponsors for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would bar employment discrimination based on sexual orientation, and reintroduce the bill in the 112th Congress, a spokesman for Frank told Law360 on Wednesday.

Spokesman Harry Gural acknowledged that getting ENDA — which would bar employers from making hiring, termination, compensation or promotion decisions based on sexual orientation or gender identity — through a Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives would be very hard.
