Sierra Club Wins Bid To Hold Up Kan. Power Plant

Law360, New York (March 31, 2011, 7:24 PM EDT) -- A Washington federal judge on Tuesday granted an environmental group's request to delay construction of a Sunflower Electric Power Corp. coal-fired power plant in Kansas.

Judge Emmet G. Sullivan of the U.S. District Court for the District of Washington granted summary judgment to the Sierra Club, which argued that a federal lending agency connected with the plant should have prepared an environmental impact statement.
