Utah Uranium Mining Case Ends In Settlement

Law360, New York (April 1, 2011, 6:13 PM EDT) -- A federal judge approved a settlement Friday in a suit that was filed by environmental groups when the U.S. Forest Service greenlighted Denison Mines Corp.'s plans to conduct exploratory uranium drilling in a Utah national forest.

Judge Dale A. Kimball of the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah approved the deal one day after three environmental group plaintiffs, two Denison subsidiaries, the Forest Service and the supervisor of Manti-La Sal National Forest stipulated that the complaint should be dismissed with prejudice.
