Ex-Qwest President Escapes SEC Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (April 1, 2011, 4:14 PM EDT) -- A Colorado federal judge on Thursday tossed the government's securities fraud allegations against three former Qwest Communications International Inc. employees including its ex-president, but left its former chief financial officer to face claims he fraudulently inflated the company's revenue.

Judge Marcia S. Krieger of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado completely granted motions for summary judgment by former Qwest president and chief operating officer Afshin Mohebbi and accountant James J.
