DC Circ. Blocks Fed's Pay Rule Change

Law360, New York (April 1, 2011, 6:54 PM EDT) -- The D.C. Circuit handed down an administrative stay Thursday that prevented the Federal Reserve from barring brokerages from paying officers on commission, just one day before the regulation was slated to take effect.

A three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ordered the implementation of the rule to be stayed pending further order of the court, pausing the Fed's Friday start date for the regulation so that the panel could consider the merits of emergency motions filed by the...
