Idaho OKs Bill To Shield Megaloads From Lawsuits

Law360, New York (April 5, 2011, 5:34 PM EDT) -- The Idaho Senate on Monday passed a bill that requires plaintiffs challenging permits for controversial megaload shipments by Exxon Mobil Corp. and ConocoPhillips Co. along historic U.S. Highway 12 to post a bond before filing a lawsuit.

The Senate passed the bill in a 27 to 8 vote. The House passed the bill on March 21, with 53 in favor and 16 against.
