Katrina Patients Class Action Stays In State Court

Law360 (April 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A class action lawsuit over the deaths of Louisiana hospital Memorial Medical Center’s patients during Hurricane Katrina will stay in state courts, despite the efforts of hospital operator LifeCare Hospital of New Orleans LLC to move it into federal court under the Class Action Fairness Act.
