Brazil Slaps Duties On US Chemical, Chinese Fabric

Law360, New York (April 6, 2011, 7:39 PM EDT) -- Brazil said Tuesday that it planned to slap new anti-dumping duties on imports of viscose knits from China and industrial petrochemical n-Butanol from the U.S., after finding that imports of those products were hurting Brazilian industry.

Brazil's Ministry of Development, Industry and Commerce voted Tuesday to impose the duties based on investigations by the country's Department of Commercial Defense, less than a week before President Dilma Rousseff is set to visit China to discuss trade relations between the two nations.
