DuPont Says Chemical Co. Sold Pigment IP To Chinese

Law360, New York (April 7, 2011, 3:55 PM EDT) -- DuPont Co. on Wednesday sued a California chemical company for allegedly selling proprietary information about the manufacturing process for a popular white pigment to the company's rivals in China.

In a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, DuPont claims USA Performance Technology Inc. misappropriated trade secrets and sold information concerning the production of titanium dioxide, commonly used in paint, plastics and paper, to DuPont's competitors in China.
