Frank Brings Back ENDA With 111 Co-Sponsors

Law360, New York (April 7, 2011, 4:15 PM EDT) -- Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., reintroduced the Employment Non-Discrimination Act on Wednesday, rounding up 111 co-sponsors for the measure to bar employment discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

The number of co-sponsors for H.R. 1397, while sizable, is far fewer than the 203 an identical bill attracted during the last session of Congress. On March 30, a spokesman for Frank told Law360 that the congressman was working to round up more co-sponsors for the legislation before reintroducing it.
