Wash. High Court Grounds Plane Crash Suit

Law360, New York (April 8, 2011, 2:48 PM EDT) -- Washington state's highest court on Thursday rejected an attempt by the families of seven Mexican government agents who died in a 2004 plane crash near Aguascalientes, Mexico, to sue aircraft manufacturer Twin Commander Aircraft LLC.

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court of the State of Washington said the trial court properly granted summary judgment to Twin Commander on the grounds that this wrongful death action is barred by the statute of repose set forth in the General Aviation Revitalization Act.
