Warner Norcross Sues Ex-Client Over Unpaid Fees

Law360, New York (April 8, 2011, 10:27 PM EDT) -- Michigan-based law firm Warner Norcross & Judd LLP sued SPS Technologies LLC on Friday for allegedly breaching a contract by not paying a $929,500 legal bill related to a multimillion-dollar suit alleging SPS products failed to meet The Boeing Co.'s manufacturing standards.

Warner Norcross claimed SPS had violated a retainer agreement by repeatedly refusing to pay the firm $788,100 in legal fees and $141,400 in costs even though the company had directed and approved the firm's legal strategy in the underlying suit, according to a complaint...
