Contractor Says BP, Others Delayed Construction

Law360, New York (April 11, 2011, 1:57 PM EDT) -- A Louisiana construction contractor sued BP PLC and its drilling partners Friday, saying the Deepwater Horizon oil spill disrupted the construction of a bridge for the state’s transportation authority.

In a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Johnson Bros. Corp. of Louisiana – F. Miller Construction LLC claimed that last spring’s colossal spill in the Gulf of Mexico and complications in the cleanup delayed the Grand Isle, La., bridge project for 75 days.
