Tax Man Comes Calling For Ill. Online Retailers

Law360, New York (April 21, 2011, 12:26 PM EDT) -- Illinois Governor Pat Quinn recently signed into law House Bill 3659 — the so-called “Main Street Fairness Act.” The controversial law requires all online retailers with a business presence in Illinois to collect and to remit sales tax for every online purchase made in the state.
