Spain Targets Polyurethane Cartel For Antitrust Abuses

Law360, New York (April 15, 2011, 6:06 PM EDT) -- Spain's competition regulator has launched official disciplinary proceedings against an alleged cartel of makers and distributors of foam flexible polyurethane, the agency said Friday, following similar action from the European Commission last year.

The National Competition Commission announced it had initiated proceedings against 10 companies and the Spanish Polyurethane Association, in the wake of a set of inspections carried out in February.
