CPSC Adopts New Toddler Bed Protections

Law360, New York (April 15, 2011, 7:42 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday that it had approved new safety protections for toddler beds to prevent injuries to children.

The mandatory standard — which deals with guardrail heights, warning labels and other elements of the products — comes amid what the CPSC said were at least 122 incidents between 2005 and 2010 associated with toddler beds, including four deaths and 43 injuries.
