Car Parts Maker Seeks Sentry Coverage Of Recall Suit

Law360, New York (April 15, 2011, 7:44 PM EDT) -- Car parts maker Trelleborg YSH Inc. asked a Michigan federal court Friday to compel Sentry Insurance to indemnify a partner company in an underlying contract suit over an allegedly faulty part that led to a Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. recall.

Sentry must defend and indemnify co-defendant MP International Inc. because none of the exclusions in MPI's Sentry policies applied, according to Trelleborg's motion for summary judgment filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
