Senate Committee OKs Energy Bill Package

Law360, New York (May 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee gave the green light on Wednesday to a bipartisan legislation package that will aim to improve efficiency, promote renewable fuels diversity, and invest in research on carbon sequestration.

The package, sponsored by Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.) and Sen. Pete Domenici (R-N.M.), was approved by the committee by a 20-3 vote and will now move on to the full Senate for consideration.
