Enviros Sue Idaho Mining Co. Over Aquatic Pollution

Law360, New York (April 18, 2011, 9:25 PM EDT) -- Two environmental groups filed a lawsuit in Idaho on Monday claiming Atlanta Gold Corp. of America Inc. was operating a mine that pollutes a tributary of the Boise River with arsenic and other heavy metals, endangering human and aquatic life.

The Idaho Conservation League and Northwest Environmental Defense Center filed a complaint in Idaho federal court alleging Atlanta Gold was in violation of its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit and the terms of a previous consent decree.
