Icon Nets Quick Win In Fitness Tech IP Suit

Law360, New York (April 19, 2011, 12:00 PM EDT) -- A Utah federal judge on Monday ruled that Fisher-Price Inc. affiliate Expresso Fitness Corp. infringed two patents covering high-tech exercise equipment held by Icon Health and Fitness Inc.

“Having carefully reviewed the record, the court finds that there is a sufficient basis to enter judgment in favor of Icon on its claims of infringement,” U.S. District Judge Ted Stewart said. “The court can find no genuine issue of material fact, disclosed or undisclosed, that precludes an entry of judgment in favor of Icon.”
