Kennel Club Sues Pit Bull Group Over 'Pedigree' Mark

Law360, New York (April 19, 2011, 6:08 PM EDT) -- United Kennel Club Inc. sued American Bully Kennel Club Inc. in Virginia on Tuesday, alleging the pit bull breeding group is violating its Performance Pedigree trademark.

United alleges in the complaint, filed in the Eastern District of Virginia, that American Bully committed trademark infringement, copyright infringement, false designation of origin, false or misleading representation of fact and related offenses through the willful use of United's Performance Pedigree trademark and permanent registration certificates.
