Alcatel-Lucent, Others Sued Over Broadband Patent

Law360, New York (April 21, 2011, 2:18 PM EDT) -- Alcatel-Lucent SA and several other companies were hit with a suit Wednesday in Delaware federal court alleging infringement of a patent for broadband technology.

Atwater Partners of Texas LLC, which recently settled infringement cases with several other major companies over the same patent, claims that an Alcatel-Lucent product for cable companies infringes a single patent.

Alcatel-Lucent advertises the product, known as the 7330 Intelligent Services Access Manager Fiber to the Node, as allowing service providers to deliver "triple play" cable, Internet and telephone service to customers....
