Judge Refuses To Resurrect AIG Unit Drywall Suit

Law360, New York (April 21, 2011, 7:15 PM EDT) -- A Florida judge refused Thursday to reconsider the dismissal of a suit brought by an American International Group Inc. affiliate that sought a judgment that the insurer had no duty to defend or indemnify three companies in Chinese drywall litigation.

Judge Alan Gold had previously dismissed the suit for lack of subject matter jurisdiction because F. Vicino and Co., F. Vicino Drywall Inc. and F. Vicino Drywall II Inc. had not yet sought coverage from AIG affiliate National Union Fire insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., to...
