Drilling Co. Sues Partner Over Wyo. Project Deadline

Law360, New York (April 22, 2011, 5:19 PM EDT) -- An oil and gas exploration company sued its partner in a Wyoming project Thursday, claiming that slow permitting by the Bureau of Land Management and interference from the defendant had tolled a deadline in the drilling agreement.

Samson Resources Co. said the delays should extend a Dec. 5 drilling deadline, allowing Samson to take partial ownership of the drilling lease once work begins at the proposed well in Converse County, Wyo., according to the complaint.
