Ex-Quarles & Brady Associate Accuses Firm Of Race Bias

Law360, New York (April 22, 2011, 7:11 PM EDT) -- A former Quarles & Brady LLP associate filed a lawsuit in Arizona federal court on Thursday accusing the firm of passing minority associates over for work assignments and subjecting them to harsher performance evaluations than their white peers.

Luis Ramirez, who is Hispanic and of Dominican heritage, lodged a complaint claiming the firm discriminated against him because of his race and national origin in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
