S. Korea, Australia Near Free Trade Deal

Law360 (April 25, 2011, 7:10 PM EDT) -- South Korea and Australia plan to finish negotiations for a free trade agreement by the end of the year, the leaders of the two countries said after bilateral talks Monday.

Korean President Lee Myung-bak and Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard agreed to work together on a bevy of trade issues Monday, including pushing North Korea to halt its nuclear activities, promoting cooperation at regional trade groups and implementing a series of agreements from 2010's G-20 summit in Seoul, South Korea.
