Travelers Scores Partial Win In $47M Dorm Fight

Law360 (April 25, 2011, 7:34 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Louisiana granted Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of America a partial win Monday in its suit seeking to avoid entering the fray in a $47 million design defect arbitration between a contractor and Southeastern Louisiana University.

U.S. District Judge Sarah S. Vance granted Travelers' bid for partial summary judgment, finding that any claims brought against it under two particular performance bonds were time-barred because the bonds specified a two-year limitation period.
