WHPM Hit With $20M Suit Over Drug Test Kits

Law360 (April 25, 2011, 6:48 PM EDT) -- BiotechPharma LLC slapped WHPM Inc. and its principal with a $20 million breach of contract and patent infringement suit in Virginia federal court Monday, saying WHPM is making drug test kits based on BTP's patented technology.

Vienna, Va.-based BTP alleges WHPM and its Chinese subsidiary WHPM Bioresearch & Technology Co. Ltd. backed out of a manufacturing agreement and used the proprietary information they gained from those talks to make knockoffs of BTP's drug testing kits.
