ArrivalStar Sues Jeans Co., Others Over Tracking IP

Law360, New York (April 26, 2011, 3:27 PM EDT) -- ArrivalStar SA and Melvino Technologies Ltd. sued True Religion Brand Jeans and two other companies in Florida on Monday as part of an ongoing effort to enforce several patents related to vehicle tracking systems.

British Virgin Islands-based tracking technology inventor Melvino and its licensee, Luxembourg-based ArrivalStar, claim that True Religion and logistics providers Infologix Inc. and Genco ATC have infringed — and encouraged their customers to infringe — nine patents with their tracking and messaging technologies.
