Toyota Pulls Tundras Over Drive Shaft Problems

Law360, New York (April 26, 2011, 4:46 PM EDT) -- Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. said Tuesday it was recalling some 51,000 model year 2011 Tundra trucks, citing a part in the vehicles’ rear drive shaft that may be prone to breaking.

The recall comes in the wake of almost a year of negative publicity for Toyota, marked by recalls of nearly 8 million vehicles in 2009 and 2010 over defects that caused unintended accelerations.
