Antitrust Probes Mounting For Siemens

Law360, New York (May 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Antitrust probes into German engineering giant Siemens AG continue to mount, with competition authorities in Poland and France launching separate investigations into the company’s practices regarding its health and transportation technology, respectively.

The Polish Competition Authority launched an investigation last month regarding possible antitrust violations in the market for the maintenance of diagnostic medical equipment by Siemens Poland, the company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

Siemens said it was cooperating with the investigation.
