EPA To Publish Diesel Fracking Permit Guidelines

Law360, New York (April 26, 2011, 7:03 PM EDT) -- The head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said Tuesday that her agency expects to issue guidelines on permits for companies that use diesel fuel in the natural gas excavation process known as hydraulic fracturing, according to a published report.

Speaking during the U.S. Energy Information Administration's annual conference in Washington, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson said the agency is discussing the guidelines with the oil and gas industry, states and other federal entities, according to a Dow Jones report.
