Huawei Sues Rival ZTE Over LTE Patents, Marks

Law360, New York (April 28, 2011, 1:27 PM EDT) -- Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. said Thursday it had filed a series of patent and trademark suits against fellow Chinese company ZTE Corp. in Germany, France and Hungary related to data card and Long Term Evolution technologies.

In a statement Thursday, the Shenzhen, China-based company claimed that ZTE also illegally used a Huawei-registered trademark on some of its data card products. ZTE has so far failed to respond to cease-and-desist letters, the company said.
