Hospital Operator Seeks Transfer Of Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (May 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A hospital operator that has been targeted in an antitrust suit alleging it conspired to “destroy” an affiliated doctor’s radiology practice has asked that the case be transferred to federal court.

LifePoint Hospitals, based in Brentwood, Tenn., asked the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico on Friday to take over the antitrust suit because the plaintiffs allege a number of claims that arise under federal law.
