Demand For Legal Services Grew In Q1, Report Says

Law360, New York (April 29, 2011, 8:09 PM EDT) -- Law firms saw an increase in demand for legal services in the first quarter of 2011, though only a slight bump in rates, according to a report from consulting firm Hildebrandt Baker Robbins released Friday.

The report showed that Hildebrandt's Peer Monitor Economic Index, which scores law firm performance, reached 60 in the first quarter of 2011, a 2.1 percent increase in demand over the last quarter of 2010. A score of 65 or greater indicates strong law firm market performance, but the PMI has not...
