Massachusetts Sues DOE Over Energy Guidelines

Law360, New York (May 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Massachusetts and the Natural Resources Defense Council have filed lawsuits against the Department of Energy, claiming that the federal agency has the authority to amend energy efficiency standards for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Massachusetts filed its challenge Monday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, while the NRDC filed a parallel challenge in the Second Circuit.
